LONDON, FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2025: Our first satellite, Mauve, is scheduled to launch aboard SpaceX’s Transporter-15 rideshare programme on 11 November 2025. The 57-minute launch window opens at 18:18 GMT. Mauve will be launched on a Falcon 9 rocket from Space Launch Complex 4E (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. Deployment of the satellite is expected to happen approximately an hour after lift-off.

Mauve is equipped with a 13 cm telescope that will observe hundreds of stars in the ultraviolet and visible wavelengths. The data from Mauve will help scientists address a number of science priorities, including the flaring activity of stars and their impact on the habitability of neighbouring exoplanets, hot stars and binary stars.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 101082738 and is supported by the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI)’s Horizon Europe Guarantee Scheme.
